Update April 2024: My once a decade update...yep, still retired. yep, still golf a lot. yep, still play basketball, but not as much. yep, still chasing my girl around town....but now I keep a sharp eye on her male friends. I'm still the house's cheapest laborer, a man of many talents but master of none.

Yes I know, many of you reading this are shocked a man of my age still has a child in high school. I suspect I may have the youngest child of any 1974 class members. Madison is a high school junior now. She's driving around the north Dallas area in the midst of all this traffic and somehow has gone 11 months now without even a scratch on her car. It's a miracle. She's a wonderful child with great character and morales...I am one lucky dad.

While I missed the 20, 30 and 40 year reunions, I am determined to attend our upcoming 50 year reunion...assuming one gets scheduled by whomever schedules these events. I hope to see many of you there in Glendive.

2014 commentary...

It's been a blast seeing all the updated profiles and pictures, especially those from the 30th reunion. Keep them coming.

I retired from the national bank regulatory business in 2012 in advance of my daughter's entry into kindergarten. Nearly 34 years of fussing with bankers and leading the examiner troops in the north central Texas area was enough for me. My wife continues to work and is looking forward to her retirement in late 2017. She's also a Montana native and grew up on a farm/ranch SW of the Lewistown area, Buffalo to be specific.

I've morphed into something of a Mr. Mom since retiring. Sure, many of you have grandkids, but would you have the energy today to be the parent of a 7 year old? LOL, it can be a challenge at times. I serve on the PTA Board at Madison's grade school, volunteer there, too, and play a lot of golf (170 rounds a year). I'm the self-appointed commissioner and oldest member of the Sunrise Basketball Club, a group of aging basketball players who need to be a minimum of 40 years old. The old body is still holding up, but I'm wary of the future.

So life is good here in the Dallas area, no complaints. The summers are scorching but I can golf virtually year round. I still keep in touch with some of my former DCHS buddies and I'm on Facebook so I can see an occasional picture of buzzhead (Clayton Saur), Joe Marman (no more bathtub shots, Joe…PLEASE), Vicki Mason Entzel, and Vicki Knapp Hughes, my former sister in law, to name a few.

I won't be in attendance at the 40th reunion, but I'll be thinking of those who make the trek to the Dive. Have a great time, take lots of pictures, and get them up on this website. Best regards to each of you.
