Here it is, 10 years later and other than being a little shorter and a little wider, not a whole lot has changed. I am still working with the NRCS as a District Conservationist in Broadus. And, Thank God, Cali still likes going home with me on weekends to help at the ranch. I have gotten involved with several community projects - High School Rodeo, After Grad and Recycling Committees, and working with a pilot tutoring program.
I just lived through another Senior Year and Graduation, and other than some advanced technology, there really wasn't a whole lot of difference between now and 30 years ago. The year was still jam packed with activities and time flew by. Cali and I are rather "close" as far as mothers and daughters go and I have been hearing the question, "What are you going to do now that Cali is graduating?" quite a bit lately! I just know that somewhere in Broadus is a big "Pool" where people can pick the date and time that I will either crack up or move home - whatever comes first! I believe I will beat the odds though and just stay put until I retire after a few more years. Cali has opted to go to the University of Mary in Bismarck to get a degree as a Nurse Practitioner. This puts the ranch pretty much halfway between here and there, which will make getting together often fairly easy.
Even though I have proven to be a horrible communicator, I am looking forward to getting together with old friends. I appreciate the work the committee has done on putting this reunion together and like the casual atmosphere they are sticking with.
