Could be a busy "rest of the year". Daughter L'auren is currently engaged, not quite sure of a date yet, but no need to rush something like that, eh?
They both work at H&R Block Corporate HQ in downtown KC, she as a lead editor and he in security and tax fraud. (better keep my deductions on the up and up).
Actually, I've benefited from her company perks: Tickets to see Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band at the Sprint Center, H&R Block Suite this spring, KC Chiefs preseason game last year at Arrowhead, H&R Block Suite, and even got to take my mom to an (AL Champion) KC Royals ballgame a few weeks ago (her first major league game), Diamond Club Level with prime parking and food and beverages to boot, courtesy L's fiancee. Sweet Suite deal if you ask me!
Always good to have connections in high places, eh?

Favorite memory from HS - Study hall with Derry Velin. We spent more time roaming the halls on a library pass than we actually spent in the library OR study hall. Did get caught once and were grounded for the rest of the semester, two whole days! :)
