Randy Dinardi

Randi Joe Dinardi, age 66, of Miles City, died of congestive heart failure on December 14, 2021 at 2:24 p.m. at the Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings.

Randi was born on October 3, 1955 in Glendive. He was the son of Andrew and Donna (Pettersen) Dinardi. Randi married his first wife Cathy Wolff and to this union had three children Josh, Leah and Jamey. At the young age of 20, Randi began working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Road in 1975. Randi worked his way up to Railroad Foreman and led what he liked to call the “chain gang”. He enjoyed working for the railroad and worked there for 16 years until he left in 1991. After the railroad Randi began working for Fisher Industries out of North Dakota, he worked there until his retirement in 2007.

At the time Randi didn’t know but a blind date on March 2, 1996 with Bobi Sue Roberts at the Kit Kat Cafe in the Billings Heights would lead him to marrying the love of his life on January 13, 2014 in Billings. Bobi always said “Our first date never ended.” They always remained by each other’s side for the last 25 years.

Randi’s passions were to go looking for old bottles and agates along the banks of the Yellowstone River, he also enjoyed hunting with family and friends. His deepest desires came true as he sat next to the river and watched his fishing line gently blow in the wind. Due to having to travel his whole life while working for the railroad and Fisher Industries, Randi and Bobi were ready to settle down and in 2018 they moved to Bobi’s hometown in Miles City. Randi enjoyed moving to Miles City as he was able to be closer and get to spend more time with his kids and grandkids. He had gotten to spend all his life loving and dedicating all he had to his children. He is an honorable man.

Randi is survived by his wife, Bobi Sue Dinardi of Miles City; three children, Josh (Misty) Dinardi of Glendive, Leah (Troy) Robertson of Elkhorn, Neb. and Jamey Dinardi of Glendive; three siblings, Dennis (Lynda) Dinardi of Billings, Brenda (Dave) Koch of Helena and Andy Dinardi of Glendive along with numerous grandkids, nieces and nephews.
