Candee spent her adult life in Anchorage, Alaska raising her family. She and her 2nd husband John Rhodes were foster parents for challenged pre-teens and teenagers during their marriage. She was a beloved wife, mom, foster-mom and grandma; her common sense and strong sense of justice have been deeply missed since her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Faryl. Her father, Lester, passed away in 2002; her mother, Dorothy, passed away in 2003; and her brother Faryl (DCHS class of 1972) passed away in 2009.
